Firstly, let us tell you some information about limestone and travertine stone. Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed primarily of calcium carbonate in the form of the mineral calcite. The accumulation of shell, coral, algae and faecal debris, Limestone is generally a smoother stone that Travertine. Travertine has small holes and pits. Both are quite soft stones compared to granite and marble. Both stones can easily be etched, damaged by acidic products, absorb oils and other liquids, and can be stained easily with half the knowledge to deep clean, seal, protect, maintain, restore limestone and travertine floors. Limestone and Travertine are very popular floor surfaces. Deep cleaning these stone floors requires the correct pH level floor pads and floor machines. Also sealing these limestone and travertine floors with a good quality impregnating sealer is also important. Once deep cleaned and sealed correctly these floors will look as good as they did when they were first installed. We will also clean the grout lines, restoring the original colour. Sealing correctly will also help prevent future staining and soiling of floors. On travertine floors we will fill hole pits.
